FLAT TOP DOORS |
|
· Make sure floor and buck openings are level and plumb · Stand door unit into opening · Plumb jambs · Level threshold · Shim behind each hinge, between the jamb and the buck · Install ( 2 ) 3 inch # 8 wood screws into each hinge making sure screws penetrate wood buck · Door margins can be adjusted with shins and screws · Drill ( 3 ) 1/4” holes in head and sill to accept head and foot bolt · Install head and foot bolt strike plates · Adjust sill |

DOORS WITH SIDE LITES |
|
· Same as flat top doors with following additions · Install ( 2 ) 2 inch # 8 wood screws through each hinge and into mull post ( side lites are shipped with both mulls loose for adjustment in field ) · Install 2 inch # 8 wood screws into strike post to adjust margins |

ARCH & RADIUS TOP DOORS |
|
· Same as flat top doors with following addition · Shim between head jamb and buck to adjust margins |

FINISHING INSTRUCTIONS |
|
· Finish sand with 180 grit sandpaper · Wipe down door with mineral spirits · Apply stain, allow to dry · Apply 1st coat of sanding sealer, allow to dry · Apply 2nd coat of sanding sealer, allow to dry · Lightly buff with 000 steel wool · Apply 1st coat of marine grade varnish, allow to dry · Lightly buff with 000 steel wool · Apply 2nd coat of marine grade varnish, allow to dry · For high sun exposure, apply a 3rd coat of marine grade varnish · Doors must be sealed on all sides · Doors should be inspected every year and re-varnished as necessary to maintain weather barrier |

LIMITED WARRANTY |

Grand Glass Company door products have a limited warranty for up to 18 months from the time of purchase. We warranty our doors to be free from defects in manufacturing, materials and workmanship, subject to the following conditions. This warranty is for replacement parts and does not include labor charges for installation or finishing.
DOOR WARRANTY
· Doors must be installed properly according to our installation instructions · Doors must be stained and sealed with a marine grade sealer within 2 weeks of jobsite delivery · The seal of the door must be maintained from wear by weather · Overhang of door must be minimum of 1/2 the height of door · Warp of 6/8 door must exceed 1/4 inch in any plane of the door · Warp of 8/0 door must exceed 1/2 inch in any plane of the door
GLASS WARRANTY
Grand Glass Company warrants the insulated glass from seal failure for a period of 10 years from date of purchase. Warranty does not include seal failure caused by acts of God such as hurricanes, earthquakes or tornados. Upon inspection of defective glass by Grand Glass Company representative, replacement glass will be delivered to our original dealers location. This limited warranty does not include labor charges for installation. |
